ART OR DESIGN
Colour, proportion, space, surface area, outline, rhythm and contrast: Elements of design, which are used in art and design in the same way. As a designer I differentiate between art and design.
The artist does what he wants. The designer wants what he does.
Kurt Weidemann
My motivation to design something arises out of a task or purpose. This purpose can be expressed by a client or be created from my own ideas, but always follows an intention. Art on the other hand, has emerged of its own will. Art inspires me – art may impose itself on me. Design should affect me quietly.

Good design is defined by its alignment with a purpose in connection with aesthetic adornment, because beauty persuades. If, however, the aesthetic adornment interferes with the function of a matter, the perceived beauty quickly dissipates.
